Unless you've been living under a rock for the past couple of years, there is no doubt you’ll have seen these gorgeous Beni Ourain rugs in pretty much every interiors blog and magazine. You know the ones I mean, with the black diamond pattern on cream wool. These rugs are traditionally woven by the Beni Ourain tribe in Morocco, hence their name. The craze for these shaggy rugs is showing no sign of dying down. In fact, they've become a interiors staple and their simple yet timeless design makes them so versatile they can really fit in any decor, no matter your home style. They also add texture and warmth to a space and can work in any room, even kids bedrooms. That's for the good news.

The bad news is a vintage, authentic Beni Ourain rug can set you back thousands of pounds, so it's not exactly an item we can tick the affordable box for here at Stella + The Stars. However, the British High Street has caught up with the trend and come up with affordable alternatives. You can find below my top picks.

Once you've found the rug of your dreams, check out the Pinterest board I have created to give you inspiration on how to style those rugs in different rooms.
